If only that were possible this page would be full of names by now. But unfortunately the law in this country prevents one from doing so, and therefore we must find alternative solutions to an ever growing problem – We are referring to the sale of Persian Kittens by not only unregistered, but also registered Breeders, who lack ethics, and are certainly not animal lovers.
These poor unfortunate kittens are being offered to the public, generally via 'Free Ad Papers', at an extremely young age, without veterinary health checks, vaccinations, worming/flea treatment, insurance or documents, and whilst the price may seem cheap, this is often not the case when later faced with a large veterinary bill. Sometimes the prices being asked are even higher than those of Reputable Breeders!
It would seem that there is even a ‘Kitten Vendor Grape Vine’, as one prospective purchaser informed us that after replying to an advertisement for a kitten, she subsequently received further calls from other vendors!
One solution found by some of the victims of these ‘Kitten Vendors’, has been to send their details and story abroad, usually to America, where they can be placed on sites dedicated to ‘Naming and Shaming’.
Finally to all you Kitten Vendors out there. It is not your breeding of kittens we disapprove of, merely the respect you show for them as living, breathing creatures. Please consider making just one or two changes to your sale policy, by having your kittens vaccinated and checked by a vet before you let them go.
Thank you
